There is some great trout fishing in the river near there. So I have read.

Glad you're enjoying! On the west side of Monarch Pass there looked to be good fishing as well. Tomichi Creek, East River, Slate River, and then after they all join, the Gunnison River! Eventually the Gunnison joins the Colorado at Grand Junction.
